elcome to the first of what I plan to be a quarterly newsletter.  I'm hoping to include news from any and all members of the Blomstrom family - including, of course, extended family members who aren't fortunate enough to share the Blomstrom surname.

OK, on to the latest news... 

Carl went with Joe & Patricia Bradley to Sweden & Lithuania for two weeks in early August.  They didn't meet up with any family over there, and although Carl hasn't walked that much in the whole of the past year, they had a great time!  Pictures will hopefully be forthcoming.

 Eric, Mark, and Glen bought a three family house in New Britain, CT in August!  Glen and his girlfriend Sara Reynolds are on the first floor, Eric is on the second, and Mark is on the third.  There's a little bit of painting to do, but the place is in great shape.  To see pictures, go to the updated Photos page.

Amanda and her boyfriend Andrew Davidson moved from Chicago to Carmel, CA in June and they bought a house too!  They closed in mid-September and have fallen in love with the scenery out there.  They'll miss the Chicago winters, but hey, you can't have it all.    

Eric went to the Big E in Massachusetts in late Sept. with his friends Jay & Jaci and their daughter Simone.   He was disappointed because it wasn't like he remembered when he last went there (almost 20 years ago!).  He remembers it being more like a county fair, with lots of animals and things to learn.  Now it's more like an oversized traveling fair, with rides and carnival games.  Well, at least they still have a horse show.
